A traditional dish of pinto beans, softened and then fried for flavour.
Refried beans are a staple on a Mexican table. Contrary to what their name implies, refried beans are not actually fried twice. They are boiled to cook them fully and render them soft enough to mash. We use pinto beans as they are buttery and flavourful. Once mashed, we fry them with traditional Mexican spices.
Victorias is a daughter company of Butler and Whites. We have created a line of authentic Mexican food with traditional robust flavours that have been designed to provide the Chinese market with fine Mexican food made from the finest ingredients.
This product does not require any cooking. If you want to reheat them you can do so in a microwave. Add a few table spoons water or chicken broth so the beans don’t dry out and heat up for 2 minutes, then stir and reheat with more water or broth for 30 second increments as needed. Alternatively heat on a stove top – add a few tablespoons of broth or water and heat in a pot on a medium heat for about 5-10 minutes. Defrost thoroughly before cooking.
If your item was supplied frozen, please defrost thoroughly before consuming or cooking.
