A yeasty griddle cake that is the perfect base when toasted to either sweet or savoury toppings. For those of you unfamiliar with the humble crumpet, its pores, crisp exterior and soft spongy inside help butter to fully permeate it.

Cooking Instructions
This dish is best cooked in a toaster for about 30 seconds, or until crispy and lightly golden. Cook for an additional 10 seconds if needed. Alternatively cook in an oven at 180C (350F) for 5-10 minutes. Defrost thoroughly before cooking.
